Session Overview
The Couple Foundation Session is the mandatory starting point for all couple-based work within YOGA5D. It is designed to establish a safe, confidential, and supportive environment in which both partners can be understood as individuals and as a relational system.
This session does not aim to resolve conflicts immediately. Instead, it creates a clear foundation from which meaningful emotional, relational, and awareness-based work can unfold sustainably.
Before or during the session, both partners are requested to complete a registration form, available for online submission. This preparation allows the session to be focused, efficient, and respectful of each partner’s perspective.
The foundation session ensures that all further work is approached with shared language, realistic expectations, and a grounded understanding of the relationship dynamics involved.

Explore individual thinking styles, communication habits, and emotional tendencies
Understand how personal histories, upbringing, and life experiences shape reactions within the relationship

Identify areas where greater presence, pacing, or containment may be beneficial

Clarify the current phase of the relationship and its immediate priorities

The Couple Foundation Session typically includes:
Guided dialogue that allows both partners to be heard without interruption or judgment

Professional orientation on suitable next steps, without pressure or obligation
The session is paced carefully. No emotional exposure is forced, and no conclusions are imposed. The emphasis remains on clarity, safety, and mutual understanding.
