Light, Awareness, and the Limits of Language

Light has long been used as a metaphor for awareness, clarity, and understanding. While poetic language can be meaningful, it can also obscure practical understanding.

In YOGA5D, light is not treated as an external force or mystical substance. It is used as a descriptive metaphor for moments of increased clarity and coherence.

When attention stabilises, perception becomes clearer. Sensory input feels more vivid yet less overwhelming. Thought activity slows without force. This state is often described as “lightness” or “brightness” because perception feels unobstructed.

From a scientific perspective, this corresponds with:

  • Reduced stress arousal

  • Improved neural integration

  • Greater sensory coherence

  • Balanced autonomic activity

From a yogic perspective, it reflects reduced internal noise.

The important point is this:
Nothing new is added. Nothing supernatural occurs.

What changes is interference.

Light, in this sense, is not something to chase. It emerges naturally when the system is regulated and attention is steady.

Language has limits. Experiences of awareness cannot be fully captured in words without distortion. This is why YOGA5D prioritises direct experience over explanation.

Clarity is not an event.

It is a condition that arises when the system is no longer overloaded.
